You don’t need to know any of this to use BoostGPT. You tell Mira what you want, and she builds it. It matters when you choose where your Site lives, though. Every Site Mira builds is a real Astro project: ordinary code files, built into plain web pages before anyone visits. Most website platforms work differently.

Why Astro

  • Your pages are fast by default. Astro turns each page into HTML and CSS, and only adds JavaScript where a page needs it. There’s less for a visitor’s phone to download and run.
  • It’s made for content. Astro is built for sites like yours: marketing pages, blogs and newsletters. It’s how each issue gets its own page.
  • You get real files, not a locked page. Your Site is a project you can read, and keep in your own repository.
  • A broken build doesn’t reach your visitors. Your Site is built before it goes live. If the build fails, publishing stops and your live Site stays as it was.
  • Every change is saved. Each change Mira makes is a version you can go back to.

How that compares

The biggest difference isn’t in the table. On all of those platforms, you build the site and keep it up to date yourself. Here, Mira does that work, and you approve what matters. Platforms change, so check their own help pages before you decide: Wix, Squarespace, Webflow and WordPress.
Your pages and code are yours, but some features run on BoostGPT: signup forms, Leads, Mira’s chat, reviews and issue pages. If you host your Site somewhere else, those stop working until you replace them.

Bringing a site you already have

A plain-HTML site needs an index.html at its root and no package.json.
Issue pages are built with Astro, so a plain-HTML Site doesn’t get them. To have them, move the site to Astro first.
