Connecting

In the dashboard, open Connectors, find Pinecone and press Connect. The key you enter is checked against Pinecone before anything is saved, so a key that is refused never becomes a connection that fails later.

What you will need

Field	What it is
API Key	Your Pinecone API key
Index Host	The host for your index, as returned by describe_index — e.g. my-index-abc123.svc.us-east-1-aws.pinecone.io

Getting the credential

Sign up at Pinecone
Create a new project or use existing one
Go to API Keys in the console
Create and copy your API key
Note your environment and project ID for index URLs
