# Automations

> Run a workflow when something happens, with no AI turn needed.

Automations are workflows you build yourself, for jobs that should happen the same way every time. Open **Automations**
in your AI teammate's sidebar and press **New Workflow**.

Each workflow starts from a trigger, then runs its steps in order. You can test a workflow before you rely on it.

## Triggers

A workflow can start from a schedule, a webhook, a connector, or something happening on your Site:

| Event | When it runs |
| - | - |
| **New lead** | Someone joins a list on your Site |
| **Lead updated** | A lead's details change |
| **Lead converted** | A lead is marked as a customer |
| **Lead deleted** | A lead is removed |
| **New record** | A form on your Site collects an answer |
| **Record deleted** | A collected answer is removed |
| **New contact** | Someone new reaches your AI teammate |
| **Repository changes synced** | Changes pushed to your [repository](https://docs.boostgpt.co/site/repository.md) came into your Site |
| **Repository sync conflict** | A file changed both in the repository and here |
| **Repository sync failed** | A Site stops syncing with its repository |

## What they can't do

> Automations can't send to your newsletter list. Sending always goes through you.

Your plan sets how many workflows you can have. Launch includes workflow automations, and Grow adds advanced triggers.
