# Kit

## Connecting

In the dashboard, open **Connectors**, find Kit and press **Connect**. The key you enter is checked against Kit before anything is saved, so a key that is refused never becomes a connection that fails later.

### What you will need

| Field | What it is |

| API Key | Kit → Settings → Developer → API keys (v4) |
| Form for Site signups | Optional. Signups also join this form, so a Kit automation that starts on it runs. The number in the form's address in Kit. |
| Tag for Site signups | Optional. Signups also get this tag, so a Kit automation that starts on it runs. The number in the tag's address in Kit. |

## What your AI teammate can do with it

| `add_subscriber` | Add a subscriber, or update the first name of an existing one |

| `create_broadcast` | Save a new issue as a draft. It is never sent from here. |
| `update_broadcast` | Change a draft issue. Pass every field again (get\_broadcast first); it stays a draft. |
| `schedule_broadcast` | Send an issue to its subscribers at send\_at (a minute from now sends it right away). Also publishes it to the web feed. Pass every field again (get\_broadcast first). |
| `get_broadcast_stats` | Recipients, open rate, click rate and unsubscribes for a sent issue |
